“Microhistories” is a portfolio of short videos that respond to specific challenges of recording and mediation using mobile technologies. In this semester-long engagement, students explored the immediacy of portable image technologies to tell histories hiding in plain sight.

The resulting videos challenge the dominant narratives, reinterpret and/or visualize everyday experiences, and engage the micro and the multiple. They cover a wide range of ideas and themes, including a couple of reflections on life under COVID-19 lockdown – produced later in the semester.
