Title: THE IMAGE OF THE CITY: From Hart Plaza to ? This documentary about the city of Detroit examines issues of urban sprawl in contexts of race, culture, and regional economics. The film aims to deconstruct misconceptions about inner city abandonment and decay. The project was funded by Detroit Research Initiative and Wayne State University's Honors Program.

Today, the city is plagued with decay, crime, high unemployment rate and poverty. This visual essay is a study of social responsibility in today's America. The film raises questions about priorities and concerns of a modern society. |
